Richard Dole (6 September 1650–1 August 1723) was a Newbury resident, the second son of Richard and Hannah Dole. He married Sarah Greenleaf, daughter of Captain Stephen Greenleaf, and was the father of nine children recorded in the supplied family notes. He is identified as Barbara’s ninth great-grandfather.

Richard Dole was born in Newbury on 6 September 1650, the second son of Richard and Hannah Dole. He lived on a farm near his father’s farm in Newbury.

Richard married Sarah Greenleaf, a daughter of Captain Stephen Greenleaf. Their children were Richard, Elizabeth, Sarah, Ann, John, Stephen, Stephen, Joseph, and Mary. The family notes state that one of the sons named Stephen died young.

Richard Dole died in Newbury on 1 August 1723. He was buried in the oldest burying-ground in Newbury.

Through the recorded family line, Richard Dole was the father of Joseph Dole, who was the father of Mary Dole. He is identified as the ninth great-grandfather of Barbara’s family branch.
