Nicholas Ide was born 11 November 1654 at Rehoboth, Massachusetts, and died 25 June 1723 at Attleborough, Massachusetts. He was admitted a freeman in 1682, married Mary Ormsbee in 1677, later married Elizabeth Hewins, and was listed as the father of seven children.

Nicholas Ide was born on 11 November 1654 at Rehoboth, Massachusetts. He was admitted a freeman in 1682.

He married Mary Ormsbee on 27 December 1677 at Rehoboth. Mary was buried there on 9 September 1690. Nicholas later married Elizabeth Hewins; no date or place for that marriage is given in the supplied material. Elizabeth Hewins Ide had an intention of marriage with Daniel Freeman dated 31 December 1736.

Nicholas was listed as the father of seven children: Nathaniel, born 14 November 1678; Jacob, born 4 July 1681; Martha, born 18 March 1683; Patience, born 12 May 1686; John, born 27 August 1690; Benjamin, born 5 December 1693; and Nicholas, born 21 July 1697 at Attleborough. The family notes state that six children were born at Rehoboth and one at Attleborough, but they do not assign the children to either marriage.

John married Mehitable Robinson and died at Attleborough on 25 November 1761. Benjamin married Elizabeth Slack and died at Attleborough on 31 March 1752. The younger Nicholas died at Attleborough on 16 May 1717.

Nicholas Ide died on 25 June 1723 at Attleborough, Massachusetts.
