Ichabod Ide (10 Apr 1755–24 Feb 1831) served in Massachusetts forces during the Revolutionary War in 1778, 1779, and 1780.

Ichabod Ide was born on 10 Apr 1755 and died on 24 Feb 1831.

During the Revolutionary War, Ide completed several recorded terms of service in Massachusetts forces. He served as a private in Capt. Alexander Foster’s company of Col. Thomas Carpenter’s regiment from 27 July to 12 Aug. 1778. His 17 days of service were on an expedition to Rhode Island.

Ide next served as a corporal in Capt. Caleb Richardson’s company of Col. John Hathaway’s regiment. He enlisted on 25 Mar. 1779 and served for 21 days at Rhode Island. The roll for this service was dated at Attleborough.

He later served as a private in Capt. Caleb Richardson’s company of Col. Abiel Mitchel’s regiment. He enlisted on 28 July 1780 and was discharged on 31 Oct. 1780, serving 3 months and 6 days. This company was raised to reinforce the Continental Army.
